When Charlotte Tilbury adds new launches to her line, I get excited and this latest release is no different. A recent addition to the Matte Revolution range, the Charlotte Tilbury The Queen Lipstick (sold here) is a beautiful blue toned red-pink, created in homage to Queen Elizabeth II.
The formula is a creamy matte which is very comfortable to wear. It’s definitely not the type of matte lipstick that looks or feels dry on the lips. It glides on easily with a perfect amount of opaque pigment and is long lasting, in a hue that will suit most skin tones.
Upon wearing it for the first time, I instantly found it made my blue eyes pop while it contrasted nicely against my fair skin. I applied it after first lining my lips with the Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat in the shade Pillow Talk which is a natural, nude sort of colour. They currently don’t have a lip liner in the same shade as The Queen lipstick, although they do have closer shades with Kiss ‘n’ Tell, Savage Rose and Crazy in Love.
The Charlotte Tilbury The Queen lipstick is a limited edition shade so if you are interested in picking this one up I’d do so asap. I was after a previous limited edition piece (a gorgeous face palette) and it sold out before I got around to purchasing it so I was left wanting to kick myself for not getting it when it was available because I can’t find it anywhere now. You can buy the individual lipstick here or as part of The Royal Look: Eyes to Mesmerise kit.
