I’m a big fan of the Bobbi Brown Pot Rouge line so I was excited to see the new limited edition Bobbi Brown Cheek Glow palette hit stores recently. The palette contains a cream highlighter on top and a cream Pot Rouge blush below. The shades I have are Pink Opal/Homecoming Pink and Bare/Desert Rose, shown next to my Bobbi Brown Pot Rogue favourites Fresh Melon and Uber Beige.
The Bobbi Brown Cheek Glow Palettes come in a beautiful white minimalist style packaging, made of hard, good quality plastic. It contains a large mirror and two pans of cream product. I can never fault Bobbi Brown packaging – it’s always up there with the best luxury brands.
Both the cream highlight illuminator and the cream blush are a subtle pigment with a dewy finish that blend beautifully. On my fair skin I really enjoy Pink Opal the most as it gives my skin a beautiful, extremely natural looking sheen instead of the usual high shimmer sort of highlight look.
Regarding the individual colours; Pink Opal highlight is a very sheer soft pink while Bare is more of a sheer bronze highlight (more pigmented than Opal is though). The Pink Homecoming blush is a gorgeous deep fuschia pink that would be great on pretty much every skin tone while Desert Rose is a dark pink toned nude that would work best on fair-medium skin.
Swatches of the Bobbi Brown Cheek Glow palette below are in natural light with no editing.
Overall, I’m in complete adoration of these. I can’t fault them in any regards as they are exactly what I usually look for in cheek products – dewy with a natural looking finish. If you prefer a more high-beam shimmery highlight then this might not be the right product for you, but if you enjoy more natural, subtle looking makeup then you will love them.
